John R. Chapman Scholarship
Annual, renewable scholarship established by the John R. Chapman Trust Fund to provide a renewable scholarship to graduating seniors of Washington Community or North Daviess high schools.
Eligibility Criteria
Graduating seniors of Washington Community High School or North
Daviess High School planning to pursue post-secondary education at an accredited college or university majoring in a physical science such as astronomy, chemistry, geology, mineralogy, meteorology, or physics. Applicants must rank in the upper third of their graduating class.
Selection Criteria
Selection will be based on financial need and academic performance.
Supplemental Requirements
Completion of the FAFSA.
Official grade transcript.

Renewal Details
Renewable for consecutive sophomore, junior, and senior years provided recipient maintains a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average (4.0 scale). A new recipient for the award will be identified once every four years. Renewal applications will be assigned to renewal candidates in their online student accounts.
