Eligibility Criteria

Graduating seniors of any Daviess County high school or Daviess County residents who are considered non-traditional students. Applicants must have a minimum 2.7 cumulative grade point average (4.0 scale) and a scholastic rank in the upper third of their graduating class. A non-traditional student is defined as an individual who delayed his or her enrollment in postsecondary education after graduating from high school.

Applicants must have participated in 4-H for at least four years and be planning to pursue a degree in the field of agri-business (such as farming, agricultural sales, agricultural research, veterinary science, agronomy, animal science, or related fields) at Vincennes University. In the event there are no applicants that meet the agri-business criteria, the scholarship opportunity will be made available to students planning to pursue an ASN or BSN degree in nursing at Vincennes University. Past recipients of the scholarship may reapply; however, renewal awards are not guaranteed. Students must maintain a 2.7 GPA while receiving the nursing scholarship.

Selection Criteria

Selection will be based on financial need, active participation in school, church, community, and work activities, and the required essay.

Statement of Aspirations and Educational Goals (not to exceed two typewritten, double-spaced pages).
Completion of the FAFSA.
Official grade transcript.
