Roy and Dorotha McCarty Scholarship
Annual scholarship created by the estate of Roy G. McCarty.
Eligibility Criteria
Graduating high school seniors who have successfully completed coursework and demonstrated outstanding promise in the shop/welding vocational programs of Gibson Southern High School. Applicants must be planning to pursue post-secondary education in vocational arts at any accredited college or university.

Supplemental Requirements
Essay: Statement of Aspirations and Educational Goals (not to exceed four typewritten, double-spaced pages) describing the benefits the applicant has received from vocational education and his or her plans for further education or training.
Letter of Recommendation from one or more of applicant’s vocational teachers.
Official grade transcript.
