Jamon L. Burchett Memorial Scholarship
An annual, renewable scholarship established in memory of Jamon L. Burchett by his parents, Rich and Julie, and his brother, Travis, to honor Jamon's love for electrical repair.
Eligibility Criteria
Graduating seniors of any Perry County high school with a minimum 2.0 cumulative grade point average (4.0 scale) planning to pursue education or training in a vocational field (i.e. auto mechanics, welding, electrical, plumbing, etc.) at an accredited institution.
Selection Criteria
Supplemental Requirements
Essay (about 500 words/5,000 characters) describing the anticipated impact of the scholarship on the applicant’s life, goals, and educational aspirations.
Completion of the “FAFSA” or “FAFSA4caster.”
Official grade transcript.

Renewal Details
May be renewable for a second year provided student continues to pursue education or training in a vocational field (i.e. auto mechanics, welding, electrical, plumbing, etc.) and remains in good standing with his or her college or university. Renewal award amounts may differ from the original award.
