Annual scholarship created by the Metropolitan School District of North Posey County in memory of former school superintendent Byron Brenton and his wife.

Eligibility Criteria

Graduating seniors of North Posey High School with a minimum 2.5 grade point average (4.0 scale) in core subjects (English, math, social studies, and science) planning to attend any two-year or four-year post-secondary accredited school. Although education is the preferred course of study, other majors will be considered.

Selection Criteria

Financial need is a major criterion for selection. Selection will also be based on strong history of involvement in community service and/or athletics.

Supplemental Requirements

Completion of the FAFSA.
Official grade transcript.

$9,860 (multiple scholarships may be awarded from this amount)
