Annual scholarship established by Brook Arnold to provide support to student leaders who have suffered the loss of a parent.

Eligibility Criteria

Graduating seniors of any Vanderburgh County high school and graduating seniors of Warren Central High School and Pike High School in Marion County in Indiana who have suffered the loss of a parent and are planning to attend an accredited post-secondary institution. Past recipients of the scholarship may also apply. Applicants must have a minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average (4.0 scale) and demonstrated leadership skills.

Selection Criteria

Selection will be based on the applicant’s grade point average, demonstrated leadership skills, and the required essay.

Supplemental Requirements

Essay (not to exceed two typewritten, double-spaced pages) describing how the loss of applicant’s parent has shaped his/her character and future aspirations.
