Emery and Edna Boger Scholarship
An annual, renewable scholarship created by the estate of Edna Boger to help Pike Central High School students with college expenses.
Eligibility Criteria
Graduating seniors of Pike Central High School pursuing post-secondary education at any accredited college, university, or trade school with a minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average (4.0 scale) and who has demonstrated financial need or an unusual circumstance.
Selection Criteria
Selection will be based on all sections of the application with particular attention given to financial need and/or unusual circumstances.
Supplemental Requirements
Essay (not to exceed two typewritten, double-spaced pages) describing how the applicant feels his/her postsecondary training or education will enhance his/her future.
Two letters of recommendation – one from a teacher and one from applicant’s employer or other person unrelated to the applicant who can speak to his/her work ethic.
Completion of the “FAFSA” or “FAFSA4caster.”

Renewal Details
May be renewable for up to four consecutive years provided the recipient maintains a 2.5 cumulative grade point average. Renewal award amounts may differ from the original award.
