Annual scholarship established in memory of Gregory Wasson by his family to honor Greg’s love of his community by providing scholarship opportunities to Boonville High School students. Always with a smile and a story to tell, Greg was well known and well liked for his expertise and commitment to a job well done. Greg was a lifetime member of Boonville, Indiana, who loved his family and community and wanted continuous improvement in the area and for those who call it home. The annual award will provide a scholarship to a Boonville High School student who plans to study business, accounting, finance, or a business related field of study.

Eligibility Criteria

Graduating seniors of Boonville High School with a 3.0 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) planning to attend an accredited two or four year college or university and major in business, economics, finance, or a business related field of study.

Selection Criteria

Selection will be based on the following:

GPA and transcript – 25%
School involvement and extracurricular activities – 25%
Work experience (applicants may include babysitting and working at a family business) – 25%
Required essay – 25%

Supplemental Requirements

Written essay (200 to 250 words) answering the following: “How will you use your college education and field of study in your future?”
Official grade transcript.
