J. Matthew Moore Memorial Scholarship
Annual, renewable scholarship created in memory of Matthew Moore by his wife, Lucy Goffinet, and his parents, John E. and Ann C. Moore, to help students pursuing advanced education.
Eligibility Criteria
Graduating seniors of Cannelton High School or Tell City High School pursuing post-secondary education at any accredited 2- or 4-year college/university or technical/vocational institution. Applicants must have a cumulative grade point average between 2.0 and 3.5 (4.0 unweighted scale).

Supplemental Requirements
Essay: Statement of Perseverance (about 500 words/5,000 characters) describing the challenges faced in order to pursue past and/or future aspirations and goals.
Letter of recommendation in support of the applicant’s ability to overcome challenges and obstacles.
Official grade transcript.

Renewal Details
May be renewable for consecutive sophomore, junior and senior years. Renewal applications may be considered provided the recipient continues to pursue his or her educational goals and maintains at least a 2.0 cumulative grade point average (4.0 scale). Renewal award amounts may differ from the original award. Renewal applications will be assigned to renewal candidates in their online student account.
