McKinley Vance Agri-Business Scholarship
Annual scholarship established by Lucile Vance in memory of her husband.
Eligibility Criteria
Graduating seniors of any Daviess County high school with a scholastic rank in the upper third of their class. Applicants must have participated in 4-H for at least four years and be enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program at a college or university pursuing a degree in the field of agriculture (such as farming, agricultural sales, agricultural research, veterinary science, agronomy, animal science, or related fields). Past recipients may reapply; however, renewal awards are not guaranteed.
Selection Criteria
Selection will be based on financial need, active participation in school, church, community, and work activities, and on the required essay.
Supplemental Requirements
Essay: Statement of Aspirations and Educational Goals (not to exceed two typewritten, double-spaced pages).
Completion of the FAFSA.
Official grade transcript.
